Who I am…

I have served on the board for 16+ years, been active in serving the community through our church's ISERVE program, active in FBC Celina where I have served over 10 years on the Finance Committee, volunteered in Vacation Bible School and taught Sunday School.

Who we are and where we’re going...

“Celina ISD is a fast growth north Texas school district located 30 minutes north of Frisco. Celina ISD serves nearly 5,000 students on over 7 campuses. Celina's small-town charm and heritage make Celina an attractive place to live and work. Like the city's tagline, Life Connected, Celina ISD prioritizes connecting with families, businesses, and the greater community to enrich the learner experience.”

  • Being a school board member is no small task. It's about making decisions that affect students, teachers and the community.

  • First thing: I’m passionate about education. I’m invested in students’ futures and wanting to make schools the best they can be.

  • I speak plainly and listen intently. I explain my ideas simply and it’s crucial to listen your viewpoints. No jargon, just straightforward talk.

  • Being honest is essential. We face tough choices. Integrity and Biblical principles guide me. People might not always agree with me, but I pray they will respect my honesty.

  • Knowing my community is vital. What do parents and teachers think? What do students need? Staying connected helps me make informed decisions that reflect the community’s values.

  • Schools change, and so do communities. I’m open to new ideas and willing to adapt. I’m ready to rethink my position if needed.

  • Budgets matter. You don’t need to be an accountant, but  I understand finances. I know how to allocate resources where they’re needed most.

  • I’m committed. I’m dedicated. I’m prepared and fully engaged. I ask for your vote.
